Water Ski Show Capital of the World

    Collegiate Sport Discipline

Wisconsin is home to 10 collegiate water ski teams, some of which are affiliated with the Midwest Collegiate Water Ski Association and compete against other colleges and universities throughout the Midwest and nation.

Student athletes compete on co-ed teams in traditional (3-event) water skiing and wakeboarding. Collegiate tournaments are more relaxed, often with as much action on the beach as there is on the water. Social activities such as camping, campfires and themed hangouts are a big part of these events.

More than 90 schools in four geographic regions field teams that seek the annual national championship title. Collegiate water skiing is not governed by the NCAA and is considered a club sport at most schools. However, there is tremendous growth in this segment of athletics at colleges and universities.
