WWSF to conduct elections

The Wisconsin Water Ski Federation will conduct an election for President and Show Ski Sport Discipline Director at the 2023 Wisconsin State Water Ski Show Championships from July 20-23, 2023, in Wisconsin Rapids.
All active (dues-paid) WWSF members who are age 18 or older are eligible to vote for President. Candidates for President include Joel Shapiro and Aaron Schoelzel.
Only those WWSF members who are age 18 or older and have Show Ski as their primary and secondary sport discipline will be allowed to vote for Show Ski Sport Discipline Director. Candidates include Kailey Koehler and Brad Keuschel.
In-Person Voting
If you are attending the Wisconsin State Water Ski Show Championships, you are expected to vote in person. The polling place will be located behind the scorers' trailer across from the concessions pavilion. Voting is open from 10:00am - 2:00pm each day of the tournament (Thursday through Sunday).
Absentee Voting
Absentee voting is allowed per the WWSF Policies & Procedures. If you are not attending the Wisconsin State Water Ski Show Championships, you may vote absentee using the online absentee vote collection form. The absentee voting link can be found on each respective bios pages (separate absentee ballot form for each election) will be activated the morning of Thursday, July 20 and deactivated at 2:00pm on Sunday, July 23. Proxy voting and write-in votes are not allowed. Your 4-digit WWSF membership number and your name are required as part of the absentee voting process. Again, absentee voting is only for those who will not be in attendance at the Wisconsin State Water Ski Show Championships. All absentee ballots are subject to verification of eligibility, including validation that you were not at the tournament.
Now accepting entries for individual events competitions

The WWSF will once again have two host location for Individual Events Competitions.
The Division II Nationals qualifier will be hosted by the Rock Aqua Jays in Janesville on Saturday, July 15. Events include Swivel 180, Swivel 360, Swivel 360 Pairs, Intermediate Doubles, and Intermediate Freestyle Jump.
The Division I Nationals qualifier will be hosted by the Aqua Skiers in Wisconsin Rapids on Thursday, July 20 in conjunction with the Wisconsin State Water Ski Show Championships. Open events include Swivel, Doubles, Swivel Pairs, Freestyle Jump, and Team Jump.

Elections to be held at state

We are conducting three elections at the 2022 Wisconsin State Water Ski Show Championships this year.
The first is for president. Aaron Schoelzel and Joel Shapiro are running. Current president, Bob Koehler, opted to not seek reelection.
The second is for Show Ski sport discipline director. Candidates include Brad Keuschel and Kailey Koehler.
The final election is for Wisconsin Region NSSA director. Candidates include Holly Buchman, Dan Emerson, and Cathy Luiting. We will elect two individuals to represent the Wisconsin Region on the NSSA board of directors.

Team rosters now on website

You asked and we answered. Your team membership person and/or show director(s) can now access your team roster via the website.
Beginning in early June we will post updated rosters once each week leading up to the deadline for submitting it for the state show ski tournament. Then we will post one final roster shortly after the deadline.
Nominations for officers and directors

The positions of president, secretary, and two Wisconsin Region NSSA directors are up for election this year. Nominate an eligible WWSF member for any of these positions by clicking the button below to email the Nominating Committee chair, Aaron Schoelzel. WWSF officer nominations are open through the Think Tank meeting. NSSA director nominations close on June 1.
Ski camp application deadline extended

Does your team want a ski camp tailored to your specific needs? Would you like a top to bottom review of your show – act order, skiing, boat driving, sound/announcing, intros/payoffs, and more? Get honest feedback and input for improvement. Ski camp can come to your team or arrangements can be made for a site for your personalized ski camp experience. Deadline extended through March 5.
Submit team report for NSSA winter BOD meeting

Your Wisconsin Region NSSA directors are collecting team reports for the upcoming NSSA meeting held in conjunction with Think Tank. Please, one person from each team, submit a report for inclusion in the region report.
Grant funding available

The WWSF is accepting grant funding requests until March 4, 2023. Grant funding is available to teams and individuals in support of our purpose, mission and objectives. Categories of grant funding include travel, entry fee, equipment, training & education, and ski site improvement subsidies.
Help choose officials for state show ski championships

Teams competing in the 2023 Wisconsin State Water Ski Show Championships can select officials as part of the process for determining tournament officials. Be sure to pay attention to ratings and choices. Submissions must be made by February 23.

We are now accepting entries for Team Competition at the 2023 Wisconsin State Water Ski Show Championships. Teams that are being seeded at the meeting held in conjunction with Think Tank must be entered and have entry fees paid in full prior to the seeding meeting.
